# Bitcoin ATMs from OpenStreetMap — Bitcoin Years open data

Bitcoin ATMs that volunteers have mapped in OpenStreetMap, with country, operator, address and opening hours where recorded. This is not a complete list of the world's Bitcoin ATMs.

This package is a Derivative Database of OpenStreetMap: Bitcoin ATMs (amenity=atm or amenity=vending_machine with currency:XBT=yes, or vending=bitcoin / vending=cryptocurrency) extracted with the Overpass API. Changes: duplicates within about 30 m were merged; each machine was assigned a country with Natural Earth borders (public domain). Any database you publicly use that is made from this one must also be offered under the ODbL (see section 4.4 of the licence). Maps and other Produced Works made from it must credit OpenStreetMap.

## Files

- `atms.csv` — ATMs (CSV): One row per machine with its OpenStreetMap id and link.
- `atms.geojson` — ATMs (GeoJSON): The same machines as map points.
- `atms-by-country-latest.csv` — ATMs by country, latest: Mapped Bitcoin ATMs per country.
- `atms-by-country-daily.csv` — ATMs by country, daily history: Mapped ATMs per country each day (OpenStreetMap is re-read weekly).

## Good to know

- Node counts are reachable nodes (nodes that accept connections), not users. Locations come from IP addresses and are approximate.
- Days on which a source could not be reached are missing from the history; nothing is filled in or estimated.
- Provided as is, without warranty. Please verify before relying on it.
